Hi, I’m Michaela Ikin from Ikin Design, a Super Sewist, teacher, and passionate advocate for sewing as self-care. I believe the act of making something with your own hands isn’t just a craft—it’s a powerful way to build confidence, find calm, and reconnect with yourself.

I created this space for people who want to learn or return to sewing not just for the sake of stitches, but for what sewing can do for your life: spark creativity, reduce stress, and remind you that you are capable of beautiful things.

All the products on this website are hand made with love and celebrate life with colour, pattern and good design. The products are hand made by me in my Sydney studio, and not in a factory overseas where the employees are barely paid a living wage. The product quality reflects that choice. They are unique, one off creations that will fill you with joy every time you use them. And you can learn to make them! Follow the arrows on the menu to discover a world of colour and delight!
